To initiate a site outreach, a site (organization) must be present in Your Research. If it is not present, the site, also referred to as an organization in the system, needs to be created. See these instructions on how to create a site (organization).
Scenario: Assigning a Site to Study
Role: Project Manager (PM)
Objective: Assign an organization (site) to a study and automatically generate a "Site Outreach" task within the study environment.
Step 1: Select the Study
Navigate to the "Network" page.
- In the "Studies" widget, search for the study to which you want to assign the site.
- Select the study by clicking the checkbox.
- The "Bulk actions" button will now become available.
Step 2: Assign Organization to Study via Bulk Action
- Click the "Bulk actions" button in the top right corner.
- Choose the action "Assign the organization to study".
- Select the organization (site) you want to add to the study and enter the unique Site ID that this organization will use within the study.
- Click "Save".
- The system will now automatically create a Site Outreach task within the study environment.
Step 3: Open the Study Environment
- Go to the "Management"section of the study:
- This can be accessed via the dashboard icon on the Network page, or
- Via the "Studies" menu in the green sidebar on the left side of the screen, then search for and open the desired study.
Step 4: View Tasks
- Within the study management view, click on "Tasks":
- This can be done via the button in the top right corner, or
- By clicking on a widget that displays tasks.
- Here, you will see the automatically generated Site Outreach task, assigned to the Coordinator.
The video below shows how an organization can be linked to the study as a site.
After the site is linked to the study, the site outreach task is created in the Study Management of the study. You can access Study Management via the button below.
